Hello friends! The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has extended the application deadline for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) 2024-25 recruitment. The extension of the application period brings relief to candidates who encountered difficulties when submitting their forms.
The Railways have published a new notice which extends the application period and fee payment deadline and correction window period. The application period for candidates now extends until May 19th 2025.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has extended the application period for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) positions. The recruitment opportunity enables candidates who hold technical qualifications to join the Railways as professionals.

Educational Qualification
The application process now accepts candidates who finish their required educational qualifications including ITI and Diploma programs before May 19, 2025.
The required qualifications for candidates include:
- ITI certification in a specific trade
- A three-year diploma program in a specific trade such as Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics
- A relevant engineering degree from BE/B.Tech programs
Age Limit
The selection committee will use July 1, 2025 (1.7.2025) as the date to determine candidate ages. The selection process grants age reductions to candidates who belong to SC/ST/OBC categories according to established rules.
Application Fee
The application fee for General/OBC/EWS candidates amounts to ₹500 while SC/ST/Women /Ex-Servicemen candidates must pay ₹250.

The application process requires users to follow these specific steps.
Step 1: Visit Official Website
Users need to access the official RRB Official portal https://www.rrbapply.gov.in to start their application process.
Step 2: Create Account
Users need to provide their national origin and complete name and parental names and birthdate and gender and email address and mobile number and Aadhaar number information.
The system will generate OTPs which users need to verify through their email address and mobile number and Aadhaar number.
Step 3: Filling the Application Form
Users who have logged in should navigate to the “Online Application” section.
Users must provide their marital status and religious affiliation and native language and preferred test language and body markings.

- Users must start by adding their 10th grade (Matriculation) information.

- Including trade details and state, district, institute name, passing year and board type (NCVT/SCVT).
Step 6: Upload Photo and Signature
Users must upload a white background photo taken within the last two months which should be between 100-150 KB in JPG/JPEG format.
Step 7: Preview and Submit
Users who confirm their application information correct can proceed to submit their application while paying the required fee.
Users must download their application form after payment completion and maintain it as a secure document.

The deadline for submission has been extended to May 19, 2025.
Yes. Candidates who submitted Railway applications through their 2024 account must use their existing login credentials. They do not need to create a new account.
OBC candidates must present a Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate issued by the Central Government. Certificates issued by State Governments will not be accepted for this recruitment.
After the completion of the CBT-1 exam, the refund will be sent to the bank account specified during form submission. General, OBC, and EWS candidates will receive ₹400, while SC, ST, Women, and Ex-Servicemen candidates will receive ₹250.
